Gifts

Delle lead the four towards their visitor. They gasped in surprise when they realized who it is.

“King Sebastian? The same King Sebastian that had faced Time Warp years ago with Sir Royce and the other great heroes one century ago?” Bianca gasped in delight.

“One and the same,” Sebastian smiled before she gave them a bow, “It’s a pleasure to see you again, Guardian Delle’s Sword.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty,” Dr. Alma greeted as they bowed.

“Are you going to help us fight?” Estella asked before she could help herself. She blushed.

“Oh, I wish I could help you,” Sebastian admitted, “But, I am already one-hundred and thirty years old. I have passed my species’ prime. Besides, the last time I encountered Time Warp had left me with a permanent limp.”

“I remembered reading about that when we read up about Time Warp,” Dr. Alma nodded, “He really seemed eager to try and kill you.”

“Well, I guess it’s because I aimed for his eyes when I tried to attack him with my sword,” she grinned in amusement, “I had a hunch that since he seems to need his eyes to use his powers, it would be a good idea to aim for them.”

“So, Time Warp’s eyes are his weakness after all and since he knows it, he would fight harder to prevent you from hurting them and because of it, you rely on your walking stick ever since?”

“That is correct,” Sebastian nodded, “I just wanted to let you know that. Oh, and I also brought you four gifts. Guards, the gifts!”

With a snap of her fingers, King Sebastian’s guards appeared out of nowhere with wrapped gifts and handed them to the four. Estella and the others opened their gifts and saw that it was a black and blue fighting suit.

“The first gift is a special fighting suit for you to wear for your fight. It will allow you to maneuver quite nicely. It won’t simply tear as easily as your normal clothing. It also armour to protect your chest, elbows, and knees.”

“Thank you, this is perfect.”

“Oh, and here are some weapons for you four,” Sebastian piped up as her guards handed them each a dagger, knuckle-dusters, spears, throwing axe and crossbows, “Just in case something happens and you are not able to use your powers.”

The guards then handed them a bag.

“Special bags that will shrink everything inside and will also shrink itself so that you can fit them into that zip pocket on your suit.”

“Boy howdy, these had recently been released.” Mr. Slick gasped in awe.

“Since you now have weapons, I am more than willing to teach you how to use them,” Sebastian smiled, “We will begin after lunch.”

Estella, Bianca, Mr. Slick and Dr. Alma were touched by the gifts and felt a bit more confident with their big fight.
